Animal Help Rwanda (AHR) is a non-profit organization born from the success and experience of New Vision Veterinary Hospital (NVVH) Founded in 2023. AHR’s aims to carry forward the legacy of NVVH’s animal welfare initiatives while expanding our reach to better serve the needs of animals across Rwanda. AHR ‘s mission is to champion animal protection, ensuring the overall wellbeing and welfare of animals in Rwanda. Our Vision to create a world where animals thrive in a state of holistic wellbeing, free from harm and a society where animals are treated with the compassion, respect, and kindness.

Awareness Campaigns

We believe in the power of education and advocacy to bring about positive change. AHR conducts awareness campaigns to inform the public about animal welfare issues, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of compassionate treatment of animals.

Veterinary Education

AHR is committed to training the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary technicians in Rwanda to build their capacity. We collaborate with international experts and institutions to provide high-quality capacity building practical course to Veterinaries in Rwanda.

Humane Dog Population Management

We actively engage in humane population control measures, including spaying and neutering (castration) to address the issue of stray and overpopulated dogs.

Disease Control

AHR is dedicated to preventing the spread of diseases like rabies through vaccination campaigns and public health initiatives. We work closely with communities and local authorities to protect both animals and humans.
